I Am Pilgrim is an interesting debut spy thriller.
The title and the cover are a bit ambiguous but there is a good story inside this book. A secret agent codenamed Pilgrim gives chase to a world-famous terrorist known as Saracen. The opening pages are quite grim and dark, a foretaste of what is to come.
Pilgrim is quickly drawn into the hunt for Saracen. The novel is well-written, but at over six hundred pages the readers needs a considerable time and patience to plow through it. There is a lot of information about the characters backgrounds and very detailed descriptions. The plot and subplots work well and the pace is satisfactory.
How will Pilgrim find Saracen? And what will he need to do to take him down?
