Friday’s Writing Advice from Wayne Arthurson

Wayne ArthursonToday’s writing advice comes from Wayne Arthurson, author of Fall from Grace and A Killing Winter. This is Wayne’s advice:

The best piece of advice I’ve received was “don’t write what you know, write what you care about.” Also, my own advice is write the story you want to tell, nothing something designed for a market or based on what’s hot. And finally, despite all the rejections a writer receives, it takes only one or two people to like your work and boom, you’ve got a publishing deal. The trick is to find those people.
